LUMINA is an opportunity for talent, creativity, and passion for cinema.
LUMINA is a non-competitive format for short films by young directors under 25—an artistic hub that celebrates the charm of high-quality shorts and the challenge of crafting powerful stories within a brief narrative span. It has no set genre, only the distinctive style of each filmmaker in bringing stories, people, and emotions to life.
Our goal is to promote the Island of Giglio as a destination through visual works that highlight its essence beyond conventional landscape and cultural stereotypes. LUMINA seeks, above all, to tell unique stories that evoke the places, atmospheres, and experiences the island’s magic brings to life.
For the 2025 edition, four directors were selected to premiere their works on June 14 during a dedicated event. Over the coming months, the short films will take part in major national and international competitive festivals.
